Underground Sounds Radio - The centre of the Universe

Undergroundsounds was born out of a group of electronic music fanatics. We have been avid followers of underground dance music in its many incarnations over the years in an ever changing scene and developed a love for both the vibe and unique flavour that these genres provide.

UGS Radio broadcasts a large variety of underground-style music. Spanning from way back in the days of acid house and breakbeat hardcore right up until present day drum & bass and upfront house anthems.

There is also have a chat room for the deejays and listeners to congregate and discuss the music and crack a joke or ten. This is available in Java format on the site and also in mIRC.

We are always on the look out for new and talented deejays to join our ever expanding line-up. If you think you have what it takes and would like to speak to someone regarding this then join the chat and talk to one of the admin staff..

Underground Sounds Radio is currently recruiting deejays. Have you got what it takes?

We are looking for semi-professional deejays with a passion for music and with a view to sharing and enjoying underground electronic dance music of all genres.

All deejays will be expected to manage and address any technical issues relating to connection and broadcast on Underground Sounds Radio. We will assist you as much as we can initially, but we believe that you, as professionals should be responsible for ensuring that your show is aired.

Underground Sounds was set up by underground dance music enthusiasts with a love of the scene and the sound with a view to broadcasting across the entire spectrum of electronic music from old skool to drum n bass to tech house to UK grime.

If you wish to play on our radio, we expect you to act professionally, to participate and to be willing to give up a small amount of time each week for your rostered slot. We expect you to treat other members with respect and due consideration regardless of your personal opinions or views. Bad behaviour or verbal abuse in the chat or on air will not be tolerated.

The management operates a "three-strike" rule on Underground Sounds. If you fail to appear for your scheduled show three times without prior notice (24 hour minimum) then you will be banned and your IP will be blocked. There are no exceptions. This serves to keep the radio live, on air 24 hours and to maintain listenership.

Above all we want you, as deejays and music lovers to enjoy the site and sounds and also to share your Underground Dance music knowledge and experiences.

By acting in the appropriate manner you will help us to grow and in turn we will help and support you as deejays.

Top performing deejays will be considered for inclusion for special events and promotions run by the station.

The important thing to remember is that we are not about politics, we are not about business, we are not about who or which station is the best and we are not trying to be celebrities.

It's all about the music.

There is now a section in the forums called The Mix Shop, in here you can find sets from the radio for you to download for free. This should be updated all the time with new sets.
